I am looking forward to seeing all the children looking 'green' tomorrow for 'Wear it Green' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. I hope to come and share a drink and cake with all the parents and friends that decide to come and join us, showing their support also.
The forest library is coming together and it is so wonderful to see the children's faces and hear their comments. . . Amazing . . Wow . . . Look at that . . . I did that! They love sitting, reading and working in the library and no forest would be complete without animals. The year 5 children painted the butterflies but Peter has created two fantastic creatures to really bring the library to life. The children voted for which animal they would love Peter to create for them and there was one outright winner . . .a red squirrel. The squirrel is also joined by a Gruffalo inspired fox.
If ever you need to visit reception, please come and take a look at your children's hard work As you know, we have organised for the entire school to work with the artist Peter Baldry and create some impressive artwork. The children have loved the experience and Peter has said some wonderful things about our children. Our 'Forest Library' is finally coming together and is looking amazing, which is what the children keep calling it! The back drop is complete and looks like this..... Keeping looking as it transforms completely.....
Welcome back everyone and I really hope that you have had a lovely summer.
I feel like I have lived out of a suitcase in the last few weeks but the children have loved every minute! Caravanning in Northumberland, staying with family in Bournemouth and taking over a B+B in Bridlington. It has been amazing fun and what memories we made. I hope you have also made some memories that will stay with you forever! |
